What Our Graduates Are Saying
“I have been fortunate enough to participate in multiple self-help courses offered by Kindful Restoration and I learned something positive in each one to better myself. However, the course that has made the most impact on my life has to be The Mindful Kindness program. In the past I was always living in a negative state of mind. As a result, this often manifested into unkind behaviors that created victims and trauma. However, after completing this course I came away with my greatest coping skill; self awareness. Using the Mindfulness practice techniques I learned in the Mindful Kindness program I'm able to stay anchored in the present moment which allows me to respond with empathy and kindness. The Mindful Kindness program has empowered me to cope with life's challenges in a pro social manner. Today I use the three breath method to pause and consider the impact of my decisions, the ripple effect on my community and self. Which in turn has strengthened and improved all my relationships in life. Being a kindful practitioner, is truly how love wins. With sincere gratitude, thank you to all of the Kindful Restoration staff for your continued kindness, and dedication to empowering lives to better ourselves and our communities.”

I have been incarcerated for 18 years, for about the last decade I have been working on bettering myself and changing my negative mindset. The Mindful Kindness Program and the Intimate Partner Violence Prevention course has helped me to better understand not only myself but how all these negative experiences in our lives shape our ways of thinking. Prison can be a very negative place and thanks to courses offered through Kindful Restoration we learn to deal with our thoughts and emotions in a healthy way. Thanks to the program and the wonderful staff I am moving forward so I can be a better person, citizen, and parent. My family, children, and members of Kindful Restoration motivate me to do better everyday." Thank you to the Program and staff! “
